I've Seen THE DARK KNIGHT

"I'm all ready for my Extreme Makeover."

It's long. It's got an interesting and intricate storyline. It has ample action. It's also very GOOD.

Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker is amongst the very best acting achievements in cinematic history. They shouldn't even bother nominating Heath for an Academy Award. They should just place the damn Oscar trophy onto his grave. Needless to say, it was a killer performance.

The special effects used for Two Face's disfigurement was very convincing. I can see Maggie Gyllenhaal becoming Hulk-green with envy over the villain's overpowering physical beauty.

How they arrived at the decision to replace Katie Holmes with Maggie Gyllenhaal is beyond my feeble comprehension. To Katie, the miscast must have felt something akin to THIS .
Come on! What were the inebriated producers thinking?!? I would only cast Maggie if my budget ran out and I had to superimpose half of Gyllenhaal's visage for creating the special effect required to make Two Face look more terrifying.

Is it me or does Christian Bale's Batman voice sound like it was inspired by Jim Carey's In Living Color skit character, Vera de Milo?

Christian Bale auditioning for the role of Batman.

All in all, this movie was worth full price to see at the theater and to even buy when it comes out on DVD.
