Chris Rock was bitch slapped live at the Oscars by Will Smith for disrespecting his wife's hairdo (or in this case, for not having one).  

 

I thought Chris Rock took that punch from the Muhammad Ali actor like a champ!

 

And to top things off, Hollywood decided to reward Will Smith's bad behavior with an Oscar award.

"And the winner for 'Most Memorable Assault in the Academy Award Show's History' goes to..."

I believe Will Smith did what he did because his wife caught him laughing at Chris Rock's joke and Jada Pinkett Smith gave that 'You're getting any sex for the rest of 2022' look.

If that was, indeed, the case then Will Smith's uncalled for assault on Chris Rock was justified.

 

To me, the odd thing was that it was Will Smith, not Chris Rock, who was doing all the sobbing after the hit. 

 

Will Smith's wife wasn't even crying despite being the subject of Chris Rock's good humored joke.

 

I thought Jada Pinkett Smith looked mighty fine going with the Samuel L. Jackson look. 

 

When it comes to The Nutty Professor actress, LIFE imitates ART.  

 

I wonder what Will Smith would have done if it had been Dwayne The Rock Johnson insulting his wife's alopecia condition?
